In Korea, the Smart City law was
legislated already in 2008.
And now, we plan to adopt the “regulatory
sandbox” granting temporary waivers to businesses for new
technology and pilot services.
In particular, a living lab is a process and a
governance for citizens
to find urban problems themselves,
and address them through smart
technologies.
It is a core element to form a
people-oriented smart city.
Efforts are also underway to pave the way
for fostering the industry.
We plan to support youths to start up
their business and find new sales channels.
